2022 Scholarships
Connected by Our Love for Flying…
FAST isn’t one person… it isn’t one entity. FAST is composed of thousands of women who are all tied together by a common passion… the love of flying. Within that, our members have all had their own personal setbacks. The number 1 setback being…. Money! There’s no way around it…. flying is EXPENSIVE! Whether our member is working on her ratings or just trying to get back in the air after a leave of absence, fuel and instructor costs are not cheap. We recognize the financial burdens that our members face on a daily basis and made the decision to start trying to raise funds to help our members in need. Last year alone we awarded $89,000 in scholarships. With the continued support of our sponsors and the generous donations of our members we hope to continue to offer funds and various scholarship opportunities each Spring. Fundraising events such as FASTgiving in June and Giving Tuesday in December are two occasions within the year that our members can help another member in achieving her goals.
FAST has given away close to $200,000 in scholarships
for female pilots since our founding in 2015!
Please remember that FAST is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so all donations are tax deductible.
FAST FTI ATP CTP Scholarship
The FTI ATP/CTP Scholarship will award a full ATP/CTP course to two FAST members. This award will help the winners build the required experience for the ATP written exam. Value $4,595 each.

FAST Helicopter Scholarship
The FAST Helicopter Scholarship will award $2,500 to a FAST member who is working towards an advanced helicopter rating or certificate. The recipient will receive funds paid directly to a flight training school of her choosing.

FAST Survival Systems USA Scholarship
The FAST Survival Systems USA Scholarship will provide one winner, and a guest of her choosing, to attend an eight hour training experience at their Groton Training Center, located in Groton, CT. Value $1,880.

FAST Back-In-Flight Scholarship
The Back-In-Flight Scholarship will be awarded to a FAST member who needs assistance returning to flying after a hiatus. The recipient will receive $2,000 paid directly to an accredited flight training school of her choosing.

FAST APP Jet Center Time-In-Flight Scholarship
The Time-In-Flight Scholarship will award $2,000 to one FAST member who has already earned her ratings and certificates. This award will help the winner build flight time in pursuit of her dream job. The recipient will receive $2,000 paid directly to a flight training school or aircraft rental facility of her choosing.

The FAST Fohr-Flight Scholarship will award one $2,500 and one $1,500 award to FAST members who are working towards an advanced flight rating or certificate. This goal will help alleviate financial burden, allowing the recipients to reach their goals faster, and with fewer distractions. The recipients will receive funds paid directly to a flight training school of their choosing.
